Transferring to any High School can be a daunting experience for both parents and pupils. We would like to make this transition as comfortable and easy as possible, as a result of which we organise a number of transition activities and events for pupils.
For parents we would like to offer an opportunity to visit the school, talk to staff and find out as much information as possible in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. We would like to invite parents to visit our school on Tuesday 30th September for our annual OPEN EVENING, when there will be a short presentation in the Hall by the Headteacher at 5.00pm, which will give lots of information about Wakefield City High. Members of staff will be available all evening to answer any questions you may have.
To get a true picture of the school, it’s staff and facilities, there will be a choice of 2 tours - one before the Headteacher ‘s presentation at 4.00pm or the later tour straight after the presentation.
Refreshments will be served during the course of the evening and there will be displays of useful information including our school uniform.
