Our Achievements on a National Level |
Only 200 out of 3400 Secondary schools nationally have
been granted Leading Edge and Beacon School Status by the
DfES. The award is based on excellence in given key performance
areas, including Raising Pupil Attainment through the quality
of Teaching & Learning. An important part of our work
is the dissemination of good practice to other High Schools
locally, regionally and nationally.
Over the last six years the school has gone from strength
to strength, continuously improving and achieving national
recognition for its success: School Achievement Awards
2001, 2002 and 2003 and Basic Skills Agency 'Quality Mark'.
