Wakefield City High is a Leading Edge Lead School, Specialist Maths and Computing College and an accredited advanced mentor school for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. Recently the school has been granted Foundation Trust Status and has been awarded the privilege of becoming a High Performing Specialist School (HPSS).
Over the past five years, our GCSE results have improved at a much faster rate than the National Average. The DfES Value Added measures of progress from KS2 to KS3 and KS3 to KS4 are very high and place the school in the top five percent of schools nationally.

mutual trust and respect, and we operate an open-door
